A Weekend of Celebration for Mothers* & 8-11 y/o Daughters

A gentle celebration of the transitions that both mother* and daughter are experiencing through games, craft, food, fire and ritual held in nature.
Moon Spiral is a weekend facilitated event for girls aged 8-11 and their mothers/primary female caregiver.
An invitation to slow down, reconnect, create, play, Moon Spiral honours the sacred bond between daughters and the women raising them.
It is a space where girls are reminded of their magic, introduced to sharing circles and welcomed into gentle ceremony. This may serve as preparation for the upcoming journey through their changing lives and eventually into womanhood.

Where & when
Moon Spiral is held in the Manawatū, and runs from Friday 9th October - Sunday 11th October. Exact location provided on registration.
You can arrive from 3pm Friday for 5pm start. We will finish by midday Sunday.
What to expect
You can expect a wonderful weekend of heart-opening intentional time together, playful games, creative activities, and a gentle introduction to sharing circles and ceremony.
We will be camping together under the stars, with lots of time in nature, having fun, connecting and celebrating together.
There will be time spent together and some time spent apart as a mother and daughter, throughout the weekend.

Yummy catered kai cooked by our in-house chef all weekend.
All activity supplies provided.
Time together + time apart (mums with mums, girls with girls) to honour this special phase.
Venue with indoor & outdoor facilities.
Bring your own tent & camping gear (we have a few spots available in our belle tents, please let us know asap if you need one of those.)
Who else will be there
Alongside other mums and daughters, you will be spending the weekend with our wonderful team of facilitators of a wide range of ages and experience, and our in-house cook.

Through heart-opening intentional time together, playful games, creative activities, and meaningful ceremony, you’ll nurture seeds of connection and self-discovery.
Coming together with community, women are invited to witness their daughters with fresh eyes, recognising the remarkable beings they are.
Daughters may discover that their mothers are more than just "Mum"- they are women with their own stories, dreams, wisdom, and magic too!
